National Agriculture Day!

March 8th is Ag Day!

Ag Day is a day to acknowledge and appreciate the role that agriculture plays in our lives. It is a day to recognize and celebrate the contributions of ranching, farming and production. A tremendous amount of effort and hard work goes into supplying food and products for communities and society as a whole!

According to the National Ag Day web site, each American farmer feeds more than 144 people and this number is growing! It is important for communities to be aware of the contributions of agriculture and to generate interest for future generations of farmers and producers. Ag Day is hosted and promoted on a national level through the Agriculture Council of America (ACA). Individuals, organizations and communities across America are encouraged to join in this effort through planning events and promoting this important day.

Let’s acknowledge and celebrate our farmers, ranchers and producers, and take time to recognize all that agriculture provides us with on a daily basis!
