Land-Grant Institutions in the Spotlight – Happy Anniversary!

Morrill Act Celebrates 150 Years!

Thanks to the USDA, land-grant institutions and extension services, programs like AgrAbility are made possible. Land-grant institutions conduct research in the realm of agriculture, and make significant contributions to communities in the areas of resources and education programs. Numerous subjects are addressed by extension services including health and nutrition, community development, horticulture, agriculture and natural resources, and much more. To recognize 150 years of land-grant institutions, NPR Radio did a segment highlighting the progress and contributions of extension services. Check out the story at:

The University of Wyoming Celebrates 125 Years!

The University of Wyoming was founded in 1886 and began with 42 students and 5 faculty members. Since then, the university has grown significantly, with approximately 13,000 students and over 700 faculty. Happy Anniversary University of Wyoming! For more on this story, visit:
